The boats.com European Marine Industry Web Awards in Association with the
BMF will see the launch of the all new YBW Consumer Web Award at the 2005
presentations.

The award has been introduced to give the opportunity for consumers to
vote for their favourite marine website outside of the main industry
categories. The award will be presented to a marine company from the
results of consumer voting, unlike the other awards which are selected
through criteria analysed by a panel of judges.

Paul Cheal, Publishing Director at IPC commented on the new award: "We
are delighted to be supporting the boats.com European Marine Industry Web
Awards with the introduction of this new consumer award. It's really
important that as well as the industry having a say on their favourite
websites, that the true users of the web, the consumers, also get their
say."

Consumers can vote for their favourite marine site by entering their
choice on ybw.com. They will also be asked to provide a brief explanation
of their choice. Any marine site is eligible to be entered, and entries
are expected to be as varied as a racing enthusiasts site, a favourite
boat manufacturer or a marine photographer.

The awards will be hosted on ybw.com from 16th September for two months.
Anyone wishing to vote should simply visit www.ybw.com. The winner will be
announced on ybw.com and presented with an award at the boats.com Marine
Industry Awards at London Boat show 2005.

This is the first time the consumer has had a voice in voting for the web
awards set up by boats.com and is a real opportunity for the industry to
learn what the consumer actually thinks.
